An Invitation to Personal Prayer: Conversation for the Spiritual Life
This group is for persons interested in learning how to pray more dynamically or relationally. People often pray beautiful devotional prayers and can have several devotional books (or apps) they spend time with every day. While we know this can fill a spiritual need, and that all prayer is good, St. Ignatius believed and taught that in each of us is a desire for deeper and more intimate prayer (more like a conversation with God). This desire lives in each of us, even though we may know nothing about it. In this group we pray with Scripture using the great methods of St. Ignatius, to develop a more personal prayer, engaging in conversation for the spiritual life.
Groups meet for 90 minutes (maximum) each week for 9 weeks and participants commit to at least 15 minutes of daily prayer. Groups are led by trained facilitators and limited in size. Depending on the offering in your parish, groups may be held “in-person”, “online via Zoom” or both. All are invited. Pre-registration is required. Click image or button to get registration form.
